8.2 EU & UK Consumer Rights (Statutory)
// EU Consumer Rights Directive | UK Consumer Rights Act 2015
If you are an EU or UK consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel digital content purchases within 14 days of purchase (the "cooling-off period") under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, unless you have expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged loss of cancellation right. By accessing match analytics before the 14-day period expires, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that your right to cancel is waived for content already accessed.
8.3 Australian Consumer Rights
Australian consumers have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded. If our Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the ACL.

11. AI & Automated Analytics Disclosure
We are committed to transparency about how our AI systems work:
- Our match analysis is generated by machine learning models trained on historical sports data and statistical variables
- AI models have inherent limitations and can produce incorrect outputs — no AI system can determine sports outcomes with certainty
- Our confidence scores represent statistical probabilities based on data inputs, not certainties
- Model performance may vary across different competitions, leagues, and match types
- We continuously update and improve our models — historical accuracy statistics may not reflect current model performance
- Our AI outputs should be treated as one data point among many in your own match research, not as definitive recommendations
- We are compliant with the EU AI Act requirements applicable to our AI systems and will update our disclosures as regulations evolve
12. Third-Party Services & Data Sources
Our Service relies on third-party data providers, APIs, and services. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. Our platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Use of third-party services linked from our platform is at your own risk and subject to those parties' terms.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Jurisdiction-Specific Limitations
// EU / UK Consumer Note
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for: death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. EU and UK consumers retain all statutory rights that cannot be waived by contract.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless World Cup Stats and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

- Any activity you engage in based on our analytics outside the intended informational use of the Service
- Any content or information you submit to the Service
- Your negligence or willful misconduct

16.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your license to use the Service immediately ceases. Provisions that by their nature survive termination shall remain in effect, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
17. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
17.1 Informal Resolution First
Before initiating any formal dispute process, you agree to contact us at Info@statsworldcup.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any complaint quickly and fairly.
17.2 Binding Arbitration (US Users)
For users in the United States, if informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. You waive the right to a jury trial.
17.3 Class Action Waiver (US Users)
YOU AND World Cup Stats AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.
17.4 EU Alternative Dispute Resolution
// EU ODR Regulation (524/2013)
EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our contact email for ODR purposes is Info@statsworldcup.com. EU consumers retain the right to bring claims before the courts of their country of residence regardless of any arbitration clause.
17.5 UK Consumers
UK consumers may refer disputes to the UK courts and retain all statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. The arbitration clause does not apply to UK consumers to the extent it would limit statutory rights.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. For matters not subject to arbitration, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware, USA.
However, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply and take precedence where required by applicable law. EU consumers may also rely on the mandatory provisions of the laws of their EU member state.
19. Consumer Rights — EU, UK & Global
// Mandatory Consumer Protections
Nothing in these Terms is intended to, and shall not, limit or exclude any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country, including but not limited to:

- Australia: Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010)
- Canada: Provincial consumer protection legislation
- Brazil: Código de Defesa do Consumidor (CDC)
Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory consumer protection rights in your jurisdiction, the mandatory rights shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

- Treat match insights as informational context, not certainty
- Review multiple sources before forming opinions about a match
- Remember that injuries, tactics, weather, officiating, and chance can change outcomes quickly
- Take regular breaks and avoid over-reliance on automated analysis
